ABAC Refrigerated Dryers

ABAC dryers remove the water that forms when humid air is compressed. Untreated condensate rusts receivers, pipework, valves and tools and spoils spray and process work. A refrigerated dryer cools the air to a controlled pressure dew point so liquid water drops out and can be drained before it reaches the network.

ABAC DRY refrigerated range
The DRY line is the main workshop and industrial refrigerated series, with a typical pressure dew point of +3°C. Compact E0–E4 models (DRY 20 to DRY 130) run on 230 V single phase, 16 bar, with ½" or ¾" connections and a small footprint of about 350 × 500 × 450 mm. Larger DRY units step up in flow to around 18,000 l/min, with 14 bar ratings and bigger flanged or BSP connections on three-phase machines.

Size the dryer to compressor free air delivery at the +3°C PDP figure, not the higher +5°C marketing CFM. Example: DRY 25 (part 4102005870) is 350 l/min at +3°C PDP. Going larger is safe; going smaller is not. Hot plant rooms, high inlet temperature or low working pressure reduce usable capacity — apply ABAC correction factors if conditions are not 7 bar / 35°C inlet / 25°C ambient.

Installation
Fit the dryer after the compressor and receiver, with a pre-filter and preferably an after-filter. Optional filter supports and bypass kits are available on DRY 20–130. Pair with auto drains, oil-water separators and Airnet pipe from our compressed air range.
